Towers for the energy of the future

KGW Schweriner Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH emanated from a company with a tradition reaching back to 1948, and with business activities focused on the production and delivery of deck machinery, such as cranes, winches and steering gear, for almost 60 years.

Since 1993 towers for wind power plants are the main products of the energy and environment business division.

The KGW quality management system meets the requirements according to DIN ISO 9001:2008, certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance and valid until December 13, 2012.

To achieve perfect quality, the company deploys electronically controlled automatic submerged-arc welding units with sensor equipment and camera monitoring of the weld seam.

Depending on the requirements of the windmill manufacturer, KGW towers can be equipped completely. In addition, machine supports can be delivered.

About 250 tubular steel towers are manufactured and delivered annually.

Numerous references from German wind power plant manufacturers vouch for KGW towers. But also in other places of the world the application of towers made by KGW has proven successful, e. g. in Argentina, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Austria, Rumania, Bulgaria, Italia, Hungarian and the USA.
