The Wirtschaftsfördergesellschaft Vorpommern mbH (WFG) pursues the objective of promoting Vorpommern as a business and growth region and hence improving its economic structure. Contact with domestic and foreign companies is actively sought within the framework of its acquisition and location marketing activities.

The Vorpommern region is ideally suited to the use of (offshore) wind energy, a sector that is set to grow significantly in the future, as well as the economic perspectives associated with this; for example, the commercial location of Sassnitz-Mukran (island of Rügen) is attractive thanks an excellent transport connection to the road, rail and shipping networks, offering companies in the sector optimal conditions at affordable prices.

The WFG is available as a pilot for all investment projects: Besides providing information for location projects, property research and local consultancy, the WFG can establish contacts with relevant partners and actors in the region as well as important decision makers.
