GICON – Bundling of expertise and research for the future of wind energy

The GICON Group is an association of independent engineering and consulting companies with 350 full-time and 150 freelancers. Offices throughout Germany and several international locations ensure the necessary proximity to our customers.

In the field of wind energy, the group possesses extensive know-how and can rely on decades of experience resulting from extensive design services for wind farms, both onshore and offshore, having a total capacity of over 30,000 MW. Skills in the areas of modeling, approval planning, environmental management, construction management, geotechnical engineering and plant design are combined in-house by GICON and, as a result, comprehensive and specialized solutions for clients are routinely put into practice.

In cooperation with research institutions, GICON provides research services in order to guarantee the required innovation for the client and to help determine the state of the art. Together with its partners, GICON has developed its own innovative foundation solutions such as the combined pile / plate foundation for onshore turbines and the floating offshore foundation (GICON® SOF).
