The SLV M-V GmbH works as a recognized training center of the German Association for Welding Technology and as a "Recognized Body" for the granting of manufacturer qualifications.
The Quality Assurance department carries out external inspections during the construction of buildings and deals with operational inspections, material approvals and process approvals as well as with claims information, court reports or consulting services.
For material testing, the SLV M-V has an accredited materials testing laboratory. Investigations into non-destructive and destructive material testing, questions of microscopic as well as quantitative and qualitative material identification determine the standard program.
The research is based on the requirements of practice and industry. In addition to welding projects and work on laser welding and laser cladding, projects in the field of micromachining by means of ultrashort pulse lasers and selective laser melting are increasing.
