The aim of the Leea is to create a central point of contact for the renewable energies sector, to bundle competencies and to network between associations. Consumers and entrepreneurs should be informed and trained on the topic. In addition, a “Renewable Energy Network” is to be established. The association will create a competent regional network on this topic at Leea.
The purpose of the association is, in addition to environmental protection, the promotion of the use of renewable energies and the environmentally friendly use and saving of energy, the promotion of science and research, education. The energetic future in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is to be promoted with efficient, energetically sustainable solutions as a contribution to the containment of climate damage.
On July 15, 2010, Leea e.V. was solemnly launched with 31 founding members. Currently 49 members have committed to the Leea.
