Port of Roenne can as a natural made shelter be traced back to the late 1200-hundred and has since day one been the center of activity from herring fishing and trade especially to North Germany. As a natural consequence town of Roenne is today the biggest town of the Island with ferry connections to either Sassnitz, Germany; Ystad, Sweden or Koege, Denmark and direct flight connection to CPH international airport.
The main activities of Port of Roenne is operation and maintenance of the port infrastructure as well as to serve the local society as access to the countries surrounding the island and make sure that goods can be loaded/discharged in a safe and environmentally friendly and safe way.
With only 7 minutes to the air port, three minutes to the ferry terminal, Heli port and a hospital within 5 minutes from the port, a broad varity of suppliers and several hotels and alternative accommodation possibilities and less that two hours from the major wind farm areas in the South Baltic the island of Bornholm and Port of Rorenne offers the perfect platform for bunkers, crew change, repair, storage, base port for cable vessels, installation vessels.
